Gathering 250 stories from across Maryland’s Lower Eastern Shore - exploring pride, history, and hope for America’s future-in the nation’s 250th year.
Everyone is invited to participate in this oral history project. Whether you recently moved to the Shore or you've lived here for 50 years. Even the little ones are welcome to take part. Make your part of Shore history be heard by sharing your own stories while reflecting on our 250-year-long history.

Boardwalk Expansion Project Phase 2
The Town of Ocean City and the non-profit Ocean City Museum Society are launching a project to expand access to this special area by extending the Boardwalk around the historic 1891 Life-Saving Station. This destination will offer panoramic views and become a vibrant hub for residents and visitors.
For generations, our museum has stood as a beacon at the end of the Boardwalk, welcoming millions of visitors eager to discover Ocean City’s rich heritage. Now, we are ready to build a dynamic new space right outside our doors—but we need your help to lay the final boards.
