Annual Spirit Award

The Ocean City Museum Society is excited to announce that nominations are open for our annual Spirit Award!

Ocean City’s story lives on through the passion and dedication of our community. The Spirit Award honors an individual or organization that has made significant strides in preserving and celebrating our town's cultural or natural heritage.

Preservation comes in many forms, and we want to highlight work across all disciplines, including:

• Written Documents: Historical research, memoirs, archives, or recorded local histories.

• Structural Preservation: Restoration or protection of historic buildings, landmarks, and physical sites.

• Artistic Renderings: Visual arts, music, or creative works capturing Ocean City’s past and identity.

• Educational Materials & Interpretation: Programs, exhibits, curriculum, or guided experiences that inform and inspire.

Whether it's a neighbor restoring a piece of local architecture, an educator designing local history lessons, or an organization safeguarding our coastal environment, we want to hear their story.

Submissions are open from October 1 - November 30
