no will date. 1 February 1748p.
To wife Sarah, Wise's Addition, and after her death to Jesse Brittingham. Negro Hagar, to wife, then to Mary Brittingham, her daughter. Wife 1/3. A shallop (boat) called Sally and Polly. 1/3 of the vessel, Sally and Polly to Sarah Brittingham's daughter, my wife's child. 1/3 Sally and Polly, the vessel, to Beverly Brittingham. Brother, John Christian Wise, all my goods undisposed of, my sea vessels and all my merchant goods and books and things. My sons-in-law Beverly and Jesse Brittingham. To the poor people, 20 pounds paper money to be distributed to the poor that stands in greatest need of it. My wife, Sarah and Robert Pitts Major, Exs. Wit; Robert Nairne, William Holland, John Holt. At court held in Accomac County. 1 February, 1748 came Sarah, the widow.
