Daniel Trimper, Sr.

Information in this record:
Daniel Trimper, Sr., 79, pioneer in the development of that resort, died at his home in Ocean City, Monday following an extended illness. He had been a resident of Ocean City for 40 years. Mr. Trimper was born in Germany, the son of the late Christopher Trimper and Margaret Fisher. Forty years ago, when Mr. Trimper first went of Ocean City, he conducted the famous Silver Dollar Inn. He owned the Windsor resort on the boardwalk, which he managed. He was engaged in the promotion of all kinds of amusements and was deeply interested in the advancement of Ocean City. Mr. Trimper was a kindly, courteous gentleman and was a very popular citizen. Internment was made in the church yard of St. Paul's Episcopal Church at Berlin, on Wednesday. Besides his wife, Mrs. Margaret Trimper, the deceased is survived by seven children: Mrs. Margaret Taylor, Mrs. William Turner, Mrs. E. M. Scott, Mrs. Kathryn Yarborough, Daniel Trimper, Jr., Mrs. William E. Hudson and Granville C. Trimper all of Ocean City. He is survived by eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Democratic Messenger, Snow Hill, Md. March 22, 1929.
