John B. Lynch

Information in this record:
John Bassett Lynch, age 79 years, died in West Palm Beach, Florida on Wednesday, April 14, 1982 of a cerebral hemorrhage. He is the husband of Mrs. Ruth Jones Lynch of Ocean city. Born and raised in Ocean City, Mr. Lynch was the owner of the Commander Hotel in Ocean City and the Commander Motel in West Palm Beach, Florida.. He was a member and elder of the First Presbyterian Church of Ocean City, a past master of Berlin's Evergreen Lodge AF & AM #153, a president of the Eastern Shore Shrine Club and a Past president of the Scottish Rite. Mr. Lynch was also a member of the Boumi Temple Shrine Association, a member of the Board of Directors for the Bank of Ocean City, a past President of the Worcester County School Board, and a past member of the Ocean City Council. Mr. Lynch was appointed by Governor Tawes to the Convention Hall Commission. Besides his wife he is survived by three daughters, Suzanne Storman of Ocean City, Linda Nicols of West Palm Beach, Fl., and Iva Lemmons of Ocean City. He has one son, John B. Lynch, Jr. of Ocean City. There are eight grandchildren. Interment will be at the Presbyterian Church yard in Snow Hill, Maryland.
