Information in this record:
Johnson, Lewis (a Negro)
a well known colored man of Snow Hill, dropped dead from heart failure on the public road between Snow Hill and the Alms House last Friday afternoon. He had been in poor health for several months, and had been sent tothe Alms House to recuperate. Johnson has been a familiar figure around Snow Hill for a number of years. In years past he served as waiter at various hotels of the town, but more recently he conducted a shoe polishing establishment in the basement of the Purnell Hotel. 19 March 1904 DM
