Richard W. Cropper

Richard William Cripper, 72, of Ocean City, died Thursday Feb. 25, 1993 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury of respiratory failure. Born in Berlin, he was a son of the late George William Cropper and Minnie Williams Cropper. He is survived by three sons, Richard Cropper, Jr. of clearwater, Fla. Wayne Cropper of Sacramento, California and Robert Lee Cropper of Vineyard Haven, Mass.; one daughter Connie Succarotte of Garden Grove, Mass.; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Other suvivors include seven sisters, Henrietta Jarvis, Catherine Hudson and Norma Hudson, all of Ocean City, georgia Brittingham, gladys Parsons and Christine Walston, all of Berlin, and Helen Cullen of Selbyville, Delaware. Two brothers, Clarence D. Cropper died in 1990 and Earl M. Cropper died in 1985, both of Berlin. Cropper served as a gunner in the Air Force during World War II, was a retired textile worker from the DuPont Co., and a sulky harness racing driver and trainer for many years. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Berlin.
