Floyd Bassett Sr. OCEAN CITY--A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m.at the Burbage Funeral Home for Floyd Francis Bassett Sr., 79, of
44th Street, who died of cancer at home Saturday, Sept. 24,1988.
The Rev. Donald Hornung will officiate the service. Bassett was former owner of the China Gardens Restaurant, 42nd Street Party Market, and Ideal
Cottages in Ocean City, and the Boulevard Grill in Berlin. He was
a World War II Army veteran and a member of Salisbury VFW Post
194 and the Sinepuxent American Legion Post 166 in Ocean City. He
was a member of the Sinepuxent Rod & Gun Club, the Waterfowlers of America and the Ocean City Zoning Appeals Board. He was born in Ironshire, near Berlin, to Claude and Edna Holloway Bassett. Bassett is survived by his wife Antoinette McTernan Bassett, of Ocean City; three sons, Floyd Bassett, Jr., of Ocean City, George Ronald Bassett, of Ocean City and Michael Claude Bassett, of Falls Church, Va.; a sister, Edna Hodgens, of Ocean City; six grand- children and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the funeral
home Monday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Interment will be in Sunset Me-
morial Park in Berlin. Sunday, 25th September 1988 Salisbury Times
Salisbury, Maryland
