Information in this record:
May Term 1836 Your orator, George Bishop and Stephen Allen adm. of William Allen, deceased on behalf of themselves. That a certain Rowland E. Bevans in his lifetime to wit: on 24 November 1814 became indebted to Stephen Purnell in the sum of $187.07. Letters of adm. of Rowland E. Bevans granted to Brittingham Bevans and Joshua Bevans. That Rowland E. Bevans left he following persons heirs in law: Brittingham Bevans, Joshua Bevans, William M. Bevans (who has since departed this life and left a daughter Sarah Ann and a daughter named Ann is heirs at law), John Bevans, Matthais Lindsey and Nancy his wife, Bersheba Bevans who has since intermarried with _______ Kenny / Kiring and survives her husband, James Truitt and Betsy his wife. His widow Leah Bevans who has since died. And also to a certain Rowland E. Bevans Jr. and Joshua Bevans, Jr. Several of the heirs did not reside in the State of Maryland. Rowland E. Bevans will: He is in a low and weak state of health. Rowland E. Bevans son of Joshua, Joshua Bevans son of Joshua, William Bevans my brother, Brittingham Bevans my brother, my land where John Bevans lives in Nassawattox. 21 Jan. 1817w. 31 Jan. 1817p. A Joshua Brittingham listed as a judgment against the administration of $115.63.
